TRIYUGA, UDAYAPUR
TRIYUGA CLEC #12 in Udayapur:
OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT:
Triyuga Municipality, the largest in Koshi Province and third largest in Nepal, envisions becoming a vibrant, sustainable urban center that balances tradition with innovation. Located along the sacred Triyuga River, it promotes education, economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Education remains a key priority, but limited resources have hindered access to technical and digital learning.
Mr. Somnath Ghimire, board member of Digital Bridges 4 Nepal, visited the Mayor’s Office to discuss establishing a Collaborative Learning Environment Center (CLEC) and training center in Triyuga. The municipality supports this initiative to advance quality, hi-tech, and inclusive education for all. The mayor envisions transforming Triyuga into a “Silicon Valley of Nepal,” fostering innovation, collaborative teaching and learning, and entrepreneurship across the region.

SCOUTING:
From August 14–16, the Digital Bridges of Nepal (DBofN) team visited Triyuga Municipality, Udayapur, to meet municipal leaders and assess Triyuga Higher Secondary School for the Collaborative Learning Environment Center (CLEC) Project. The team conducted room measurements for the proposed center and interviewed teachers and students to understand local needs.
SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION:
From September 6 to 9, 2025, the Digital Bridges of Nepal (DBofN) team successfully installed and launched a Collaborative Learning Environment Center (CLEC) at Triyuga Secondary School located in Gaighat, Udayapur.
The team traveled to Triyuga on September 6, facing a two-hour delay due to a road accident. Despite the setback, preparations continued smoothly, and by September 7, the CLEC installation was successfully completed without major technical issues. The following day, the CLEC was officially inaugurated in the presence of the Mayor and municipal team, teachers from Triyuga Secondary School and nearby schools, the DBofN team, and intellectuals from the locality.

ONBOARDING:
Onboarding sessions were conducted over two days to familiarize teachers and students with the CLEC’s tools and collaborative learning methods. Although participation was slightly lower initially due to ongoing examinations, onboarding for Grade 9 students was completed successfully on the first day. The second day covered Grades 9 and 10, engaging teachers and students in interactive learning demonstrations. Despite brief disruptions caused by a Gen Z protest in the municipality, the sessions concluded successfully. Baseline surveys and teacher and student interviews were also conducted to gather feedback and document early impressions of the CLEC’s impact.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Triyuga Municipality, Triyuga Secondary School, and particularly to Chairperson Mr. Basanta Kumar Basnet for their guidance and support. The newly established CLEC is expected to foster collaboration and introduce innovative teaching and learning practices—empowering students, teachers, and the entire community to thrive in a 21st-century learning environment.
