We have no upcoming events at this time. Please visit back soon.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Register: Registration is now open up until June 19, 2020. There is no cost to participate and you can complete this event from any part of the world. Be sure to invite your friends.
All participants who complete this event will receive a virtual badge to proudly display on their social media page.
We are also offering a finisher medal and an AO bandana for an added donation. All proceeds will support our work in Nepal.
2. Sweat: You have one week, from June 13 to June 20, to complete a set distance of 5k. That’s about 3.1 miles. This race can be completed at your own pace. Feel free to walk, hike, or run; whatever it takes to complete the entire distance.
3. Celebrate: Once you achieve your goal, you’ll receive a virtual completion badge from AO on June 21. Feel free to proudly display it to your friends on social media with the hashtag #AOVirtual5K.
If you made a donation, you’ll receive your finisher medal and AO bandana, in the mail in about 4-6 weeks.
What your donation will support:
Kathmandu University is known in Nepal for its uncompromising quality in education and its vision to transform education. Our goal is to develop a learning environment designed by AO that will help educators reach their full potential by putting valuable information at their fingertips in a way that was previously not possible. This will ultimately help bridge the technological gaps that exist in developing economies.

Are you missing the excitement of adventure? Seeing a horizon framed by mountains? Adjusting your eyes to the shifting shadows of trees on a trail? Seeing/hearing the cool rush of water over rocks?
Join us for a virtual trek through the mountains of Nepal to the village of Sotang, Solukhumbu. Sotang is a small village in a remote area to the east of Kathmandu, Nepal.
Our destination will lead us to the Sotang Public Campus and its computer lab that was established and supported through a collaboration with the community, school leadership and Altruistic Odyssey.
Your guides, Anne Corwith and Ed Antoine of Altruistic Odyssey U.S., will be available for questions through chat during the Facebook trek.
We're also planning up a fun raffle to give away to participants. More information to come. Stay tuned.
