Pasang Sherpa
Pasang Sherpa is a founding member of DBN. He has been coordinating projects for DBN in the Solukhumbu area of Nepal (Everest National Park), especially supervising the completion of the Deboche Nunnery project in 2016.
Pasang is the proud father of two and owner of Thanka Inn lodge at Gokyo lake. In addition, he owns the highest altitude gallery in the world at 16,000 feet (4,800 meters). He is the founder of Hello Himalayan Homes Company, which organizes treks around the Everest region.
He will be following our projects in the Khumbu part of the Everest National Park from the village of Khumjung, where he and his family are from. Pasang also supervised the translation of his uncle’s book on nature conservation, which is vital to the younger Sherpa generation throughout Nepal. He will continue to advise our field projects in Nepal, especially in the Solokhumbu region and is excited for future projects to benefit people here and in other remote regions of Nepal.
